Project Summary
NYE is a high-end luxury condominium project located in the rapidly growing Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River along the main BTS Skytrain lines. The twin towers of the high rise project by the well-known Thailand developer, Sansiri, stands out as one of the premier residential projects in the area. To meet the requirements of the client, Landscape Collaboration developed a landscape architectural design of classical modern style to address the growing demands of the high-end market.
The entrance is pronounced with bands of strong contrasting lines on the horizontal plane of the entry plaza and travel upward along the vertical elements of the feature gates, walls, and accented trellises that define multiple outdoor courtyards & space. The dual lobbies at the ground level share a serene courtyard space with shallow water and sunken seating, which still cleverly serves to provide emergency vehicle access. The surrounding landscape at the ground level continues the composition of strong lines and bands to provide cozy spaces that provide pockets of ultimate privacy yet seamlessly connect to promote a grandeur of the project’s overall open space.
The grand statement of the project is evident in the mirroring of an expansive green wall wrapping the parking podiums and cantilevering of pools for both towers. The view at the podium roof pool level is equally impressive as the horizontal pattern of pool tile combined with the infinity edges along the facing sides of the pools give the illusion of continuous planes of ‘floating’ water. The landscape designer has taken full advantage of the abundant space of the project using strong forms and patterns to define the space. The different scales of pattern and space has resulted in a luxurious landscape of refined detail that meets the expectations & demands of the high-end client.
