Project Summary
Landscape as living sanctuary provides the way of living with 5 senses for the residents.
The arrival landscape of the residence not only creates a sense of welcome but also a sense of security. Thai accent is applied into all design elements – from feature wall to the main gate – by using natural stone material. The cobble stone along the driveway provides a sense of tactile while guests walk or drive through it. The expanded natural stone paving provides a seamless integration between indoor and outdoor living. Along the arrival landscape area, the sense of smell is enriched by Thai floral aroma. The selected trees not only provide visual pleasure but also act as a green tapestry in which creates a sense of privacy for the residence. The welcome garden is celebrated by using colorful bromeliads, which provides a touch of Thai to all guests. Landscape court is surrounded by Thai aromatic tree species which provide a sense of relaxation. The lawn area as a green carpet is objectified by the gravel path. The contrast of their color supplements the present of each other. Landscape mound and the variety of groundcover plants create visual interest within the garden as well as the sense of soft separation among houses. The collection of Thai herbs in the Herb garden along the Tea Ceremony Terrace offers a genuine sense of Thai taste. All landscape elements are carefully designed in order to complement the existing tree in the court. The rain tree will be treated as a natural sculpture within the garden that represents as a symbol of long live. The integration of softscape and hardscape within the garden will enrich the 5 senses for living, which creates an authentic sense of place.
